CLIMATE 氣候

General 一般氣候

The province has two types of climate. The first, which occurs in the northern and southern extremities and the entire western coast, has two distinct seasons - six months dry and six months wet. The other, which prevails in the eastern coast, has a short dry season of one to three months and no pronounced rainy period during the rest of the year. The southern part of the province is virtually free from tropical depressions but northern Palawan experiences torrential rains during the months of July and August.

整體而然,每年雨季大約從6~8月 (主要由印度洋之亞熱帶暖流影響)但一般對潛水人士影響不大。一般旅遊季節於每年10月至翌年5月為最佳。
The Southwest Monsoon is what is usually called the monsoon (or rainy) season. This means that the wind blows from the Southwest out of the Indian Ocean and brings a lot of warm, wet air that dumps more than the usual amount of rain on the Philippines. The Southwest Monsoon usually starts sometime in June though it has sometimes not started until July. When this happens there is usually a water shortage in Manila and everything looks brownish instead of green. The wettest months are June, July and August. The best season for travelling is between the months of Oct and May. Sea voyage is most favourable from March to early June when the seas are calm.

Pamalican Island (Amanpulo Resorts)

The climate is tropical with two seasons. The dry season runs from November to May and the wet season from June until October. Temperatures range from an average of 25°C (78°F) in January to 29°C (84°F) in May. The winter trade winds make windsurfing a major attraction from December until April.
