TRANSPORTATION 交通 HOW TO GET THERE Bohol is accessible by air, sea, and land transportation: It is an hour and fifteen minutes away by plane or 30 hours by boat from Manila. There are daily direct flights from Manila and Cebu. There are also daily sea voyages to and from Manila, Cebu and the different points in the Visayas and Mindanao. Next to Cebu, it is also an ideal jump-off point for other tourist attractions in the Visayas and Mindanao. From Hong Kong The most convenient way is to take Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air or Cathay Pacific Airways from HKG Chek Lap Kok International Airport to Manila (approx. 1 hr 45 min) or to Cebu (approx. 2 hrs). From Manila, you may take daily connecting flights to Bohol, serviced by either Cebu Pacific Air or Philippine Airlines, with schedules throughout the day, and a flight time of about an hour and fifteen minutes. From Cebu, you can reach Bohol by air travel in less than an hour. The Tagbilaran Domestic Airport is located a mere 5 minute ride from the city centre. Various options are available for transportation to the city proper and its environs or even anywhere in Bohol province, from pedicabs, multicabs, to rental cars or vans and taxis. Airport transfers from the Tagbilaran Airport can be arranged by most hotels and resorts. From Manila Negros Navigation and WG&A SuperFerry are two of the shipping companies providing daily services from Manila to Bohol and vice versa. SuperFerry vessels ply the Philippine waters everyday of the week.
From Cebu The quickest way to get to Bohol from Cebu, the jump-off point of neighboring islands is by fast ferry. Approximately 1 hour & 50 minutes. Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Lite Shipping, Ocean Jet Ferries, and SuperCat, provide daily services to and from Cebu City and Tagbilaran City. From Dumaguete Ocean Jet Ferries has daily services to and from Dumaguete. The boats (GP and Cokaliong Shipping Lines) also provide night time 5 hour trips to and from Dumaguete. From Bacolod Weesam Express service the route daily for the approximately one-hour trip between the islands. From Siquijor Ocean Jet Ferries has daily ferry services between the Islands of Tagbilaran and Siquijor for aprox 2 hours & 40 minutes. From Cagayan De Oro Trans-Asia Shipping Lines has Monday to Saturday Ferry services to and from Cagayan De Oro City. From Dapitan The Ocean Jet Ferries provide daily services for the route to and from Dapitan for aprox. 3 hrs & 40 mins. From other islands of Visayas & Mindanao Cokaliong Shipping Lines, Negros Navigation, Trans-Asia Shipping Lines, Weesam Express, and WG&A SuperFerry service all other routes to and from the neighboring islands of the Visayas and Mindanao. From Dumaguete to Cebu The Ceres Liner bus company offers 5 hour air-conditioned trips from Dumaguete to Cebu crossing the Tañon Strait via a barge from Tampi (Amlan– 25 mins. from Dumaguete City) to Bato (Cebu). The bus liner goes direct from Dumaguete to Cebu 7 times a day for approximately PHP250 including the ferry. From Cebu, daily ferry services to and from (Tagbilaran) Bohol are readily available.
